The US President very recently proposed rebates of up to three thousand dollars for American home owners who are willing to make their homes more energy efficient.
In an effort to ease America’s economic woes as well as get a grip on the employment rates, the President’s proposal is seen by many as a radical step forward. The energy efficiency program is expected to push American homeowners to invest their money on their homes to make it more energy efficient.
What this means is that home owners will be investing on buying new windows, insulation works, doors, HVAC units, etc and upgrade their homes so as to increase their energy efficiency levels. Consumers who make simple upgrades like insulation, water heaters, sealing ducts, air conditioning units, etc will become eligible for a rebate of up to fifteen hundred dollars.
According to the cash for caulkers program, consumers who undertake a comprehensive energy retrofit will become eligible for a rebate of up to three thousand dollars.
According to the US President, the consumers need not fill lengthy application forms to get this rebate. These are on the spot rebates that can be had instantly from the contractor or the hardware store owner.
Under the cash for caulkers program, the consumer can now get rebates not only from the building material store but also from the installation companies that install the equipment and also from energy utility companies.
Finally, the cash for caulkers program is expected to revive the American home building industry, provide thrust for creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs in the home energy sector and the building construction industry.
