This program not only addresses the employment concerns of the people but also provides a stimulus for businessmen, traders, builders and construction professionals to revive their businesses by focusing on the American home owners.
With this initiative, the cash for caulkers siding program hopes to revive the sagging fortunes of the American home building industry. This program provides incentives for the home owners to make energy efficient changes to their homes in order to make it more energy friendly.
It is estimated that this move will save more than twenty percent in energy savings which is a huge saving that can be put to other uses. For the home owners, apart from the incentives provided by the federal government, there is an additional saving of more than $600 to $750 each year by way energy saving.
The cash for caulkers siding program affects the American home owners at two levels. At the first level, home owners are eligible for a rebate of up to fifteen hundred dollars for making their homes energy efficient by taking care of their sidings, roofing, ducting, HVAC units, doors, windows, insulation, etc. In the second level, the home owners become eligible to a rebate of up to three thousand dollars for undertaking a complete energy audit of their homes and making the necessary changes to make it more environment friendly.
